ONE-DAY INTENSIVE NORDIC WALKING TASTER/TECHNIQUE TRAINING COURSE (TOTAL BEGINNERS)

Training is delivered to you by: A Fully Trained, Insured, First Aid Trained Nordic Walking Instructor (not just walk leaders)
Course Description
The course is a practical, light-hearted, one-day training course, and is designed for those new to Nordic Walking (poles are provided).

* Note: The one-day sessions have been very successful, rather than the previous approach of finding three consecutive weeks for the training. However, the whole day’s training can be too much in one session for some folks, this is not an issue at all, and you can leave after Part A (Taster) and join Part B and C on another training day (see timetable below for Part A/B/C timings), many folks have done it this way, and it has also worked very well.

Price - One-Day Taster/Training
£59.00 per person (incl. hire of poles).
In order to book your space on the course, payment is required, in full, in advance of your start date please. The Taster is free - if you don't wish to continue with the T1 and T2 after the Taster session, we will refund your £59.00, in full, after the taster session. (We've found this approach discourages last minute cancellation/encourages a commitment to attending the sessions, which take significant time/work to organise. Your understanding is appreciated).
We will be arranging training, on days/dates according to demand. Please get in touch with your availability and we can take this into account in our planning.
TRAINED NORDIC WALKERS SESSIONS
Fitness Walks are designed as a fun and sociable way to increase your fitness levels. Fully trained Nordic Walking instructors will provide you with motivation, support and guidance to help you to gradually hone/improve your technique and pace (and meet and chat with other nice people) which consequently help you to increase your walk pace, walk intensity and improve physical strength and stamina and achieve weight-loss and toning goals. Nordic Walking in a group is great motivation and can make a real difference to people's fitness levels. You can join in the chat/laughter, as much, or as little as you wish, or focus on the improvement of your technique/pace, all in a beautiful green space (Followed by a social visit to the café!)

Challenge walks are for Nordic Walkers who would like to focus on increasing their pace and endurance over longer distances/slopes. One of the aims is for everyone to walk a min. of 10 km's in the session (Those who can/wish to, do over 10km). For those that are building up to the full 10 km's, the session will be managed to enable you to Nordic at an appropriate pace and reduce the distance if required.
PRICE - REGULAR FITNESS WALKS
Flexicard: £79.20 for 8 sessions (without poles, £9.90 per session). Sessions can be cancelled/re-credited with only 24hr notice.
Pay-as-you-go: £12.50 per session (without poles).
Duration: 1 hr.
Challenge Walk
(Duration 2½ hours): £19.80 (without poles)
Poles are available to hire at £1.20 per session.
AD-HOC EXPLORER WALKS
These are ad-hoc sessions, held at differing locations, of varying distances, with a focus on enjoying the company, surroundings, location, views etc., scheduled throughout the year (the focus is not on technique/pace etc.). Look out for our emails containing details of upcoming explorer walks. Once they’ve been announced these will be available to book on our Booking System.
